Wow! What a SURPRISE!

OK, so this is Maggie talking for a change in the blog here, and I've got to say I was TOTALLY surprised -- and appreciate the 3oth birthday reminder! :-)

After the mini-baby shower planned by Anita, Jennie & Leslie, I was told we were getting massages at Equinox ... only to be shocked by a crowd of amazing friends and family yelling 'SURPRISE!' in the Century Plaza Hyatt's Lobby Court. I was so deeply touched that I pathetically weeped like a baby (causing others to tear up too ... admit it!).

Jennie had flown in from Houston for the mini-shower, but I had no clue Sara (& Mike) had come to town from Dallas. It was super sweet and meant a lot to me. Thank you!

Tahneetra, Cornell & Anaya (she's our Montessori school inspiration) came, too!

I'm pretty sure Sedona thought it was her party, and well, she was really the center of attention, as usual. She passed the time looking for babies and/or belly-buttons.

And moves on to Daddy ... Then follows up with Anaya! Here's our family with Geena & Felix (Thank you, FX! He helped a lot in setting this up!) And here is the whole greater family! Guess which one Sedona calls "Turtle." (Hint: second from the right.)

I'm super excited about turning 30 and adding a new baby girl to our family. I look forward to creating many more memories with each and every one of you.
