Maven wasn't actually about to take a bath here, but she was running across the porch in the direction of the Tsais' nifty outdoor shower on the side of the house. We got the girls in there soon enough, and it was pretty cool. Check it out from overhead, peek-a-boo style and through the open door.
Maggie being Maggie, she had a slick gift up her sleeve for our first sleepover night in Westport: matching pajamas for Anaya and Sedona. Jay got pretty good mileage out of the Speed Racer Mach 5 and Racer X cars we brought for him, among other things. After we had come back home to Hermosa, I was reading with Sedona one night and upon seeing cars in the book asked her: "Who loves cars?" She answered: "Jay and me."
Given how much Anaya resembles Andy and how much Sedona looks like me, it's especially interesting to see our two same-aged daughters running around together all matchy-matchy ...

In keeping with the small-town theme, we also went to pick apples and peaches nearby. The hearty country breakfast we had beforehand did not deter any pint-sized people from devouring fruit right off the tree. (Purva grabbed the camera and took the above pajama shots and the following fine orchard and seaside photos, by the way.)
Back at the homestead, Andy invited me to take Sedona out on the kayak. She's not an inherent water baby (see the cute but apprehensive-faced first photo below), but we got her in the mood to hit the waves.
